Ubertatts.com review Bergen County

It seems nowadays that everything can be customized to just about anyone’s tastes. People wear t-shirts with the obscurest of bands and pop-culture references and decorate their laptops and Blackberry’s with skins of the same ilk. Now you will be able to do the same with your car and the walls of your home and not spend an arm and a leg doing so. Ubertatts.com was started in 2007 by Rosemarie Monaco and is based out of Englewood Cliffs. They develop and distribute decals of various designs for the purpose of easily installable and removable vehicle and wall decoration. She boasts that besides the graphics offered on her website, they can also develop any customized image the customer wishes.

It is also said that these designs are easily applicable by anyone, will look painted on, will endure the weather and will be completely removable. I received a large decal for my front hood, approximately two feet in diameter, and a mid sized piece for my wall about a foot long in order to test those claims in both their most exaggerated and normal circumstances. The wall piece was a breeze to apply. The whole process taking less then a minute, I just peeled if off and placed it on and it looked like it was meant to be there. The graphic itself was of great quality and dexterity. After a couple days I attempted to peel it off and it did indeed come right off; even at its most detailed points did it not rip or pierce. I then reapplied the print on my wall again and it stuck on just as well as the first time and looked just as good.

The car print proved to be a little trickier. The graphic used was a very detailed image and as mentioned above I had a particularly large sample. It did look impressive, however it was apparent that the size of the print had blurred the crisp details of the original image and muffled the colors a bit, similarly to taking a picture on your computer and enlarging it. The directions for applying the print were very simple and easy to follow and had pictures to guide the process, however the actual application of the print was not perfect.

Basically your supposed to slowly roll the print on the car from top to bottom, but even with the help of my father it was a little difficult keeping the whole piece equal while applying it and as a result there were some creasing and air bubbles. It took about ten to fifteen minutes of poking out the bubbles and smoothing out the creases as best as I could. In the end I wouldn’t say the tatt looked painted on, but overall it did look good. Any imperfections that happened while applying it were not noticeable unless you were looking for them. As for durability, fortunately (for this review anyway) there was some harsh weather following the day I had put the tatt on and through frost, rain, and snow the tatt held fine with no sign of peeling.

Depending on the size of the tatt you want they range in price from around four to twenty dollars and in my opinion they are worth the money. I would suggest for larger or more detailed prints to perhaps seek professional assistance in order to avoid the problems mentioned above, but Ubertatts are definitely solid quality products. Ubertatts offers a wide variety of designs such as sports, fantasy, and even a seasonal selection for the holidays. Bottom line if you are a person who likes expressing yourself, but do not want to potentially spoil your walls or car with something permanent you should definitely check out www.ubertatts.com
